It started with a bad haircut and a worse Tuesday.

After years of watching two-minute tutorials and buying "volumizing" products that left hair either stiff as cardboard or lifeless by noon, our founder hit a breaking point in a mid-size apartment bathroom, 6:47 AM, late for work... again. The powders on the shelf either weighed hair down with silicones or vanished within the hour, and nothing gave that lived-in, textured look barbers seemed to pull off effortlessly.

So the search began, not for another quick fix, but for the actual formula barbers had been quietly using for decades. Months of digging turned into a relationship with a small ingredient supplier who'd worked with salons for 20 years. Dozens of batches later, mixed on a kitchen counter and tested on anyone willing to sit still for ten minutes, one formula finally did what none of the others could: it built real texture and grip without the buildup, the flaking, or the fake shine.

That formula became BRICKS.

The name is a nod to the idea that great style is built, layer by layer, the same way you'd lay brick on brick to make something that lasts. No gimmicks, no 47-step routine. Just a powder that does exactly what it says: instant texture, all-day hold, and a matte finish that looks like you didn't try at all (even though you kind of did).

Today, BRICKS is made in small batches and tested the same way it always has been, on real people, in real bathrooms, on real rushed mornings. The mission hasn't changed since day one: give people a fast, honest way to get salon-level texture without the salon-level effort or price tag.
